The Path to True Freedom is Passion

Every human has a passion within them.

A desire or a wish.

The desire is like a bird within us, striving to fly higher and higher up towards the freedom we’ve always wanted but felt never like we got.

One part of our job understanding (roughly) where that bird wants to go.

Another is making its direction more precise by choosing a specific path that aligns with the bird’s desire.

And, at last, it is all about flying alongside our inner bird.

But don’t be fooled. This process isn’t as tricky as everyone made us think.

Precisions - the 3 steps

I am going to explain what the steps are.

The first step is finding your natural inclination. Maybe words, or sports, whatever.

The second step is making the bird’s natural inclination more precise. You do this by choosing a concrete direction based on what the bird says (this step is more about choosing than finding).

And the last step is flying with the bird. This means diving head first into what you’ve found.

Going further than any metaphor

Progress in the steps above doesn’t depend on a divine realisation or on a dose of magic mushrooms

Our inner bird only has one basic need. And everything else is superfluous.

It needs only one thing from us to thrive. Any progress in the three steps depend on it.

Its basic need is questioning. By asking questions, our inner bird reveals itself to us.

In finding your passion, the real enemy is not questioning yourself.

The real enemy is not doing anything.

So question yourself on what you’d like to accomplish.

That’s all there’s to know about passion. Most of the work can’t be explained: it must be done. However cute the little bird might look from a distance, flying with it takes time and hard work.

But be sure it’s worth the dedication.
